This studio project asked to design a power tool along the same design language and brand guidelines of a specific brand, ideally aligning the tool with the brand seamlessly.
The Barfly CITRI Electric Juicer helps bartenders - whether they're behind a bar professionally, at home, or practicing wherever they can - smooth out and speed up the process of juicing citrus fruits.
The Ask:
How can the hassle of juicing citrus - an essential step in the mixology process - be aided by a motorized product?
The Solution:
The Barfly CITRI - a motorized juicer that eases the stress and muscle tension of juicing citrus fruits, and fits perfectly into cocktail shakers for direct juicing.
Separates Easily
Each section of the Barfly CITRI separates smoothly so you can quickly juice multiple halves of citrus fruit in quick succession - and clean the pieces whenever necessary.
Simple Internals
Minimal internal electric components, such as the standard DC motor and USB charging ports, protect the juicer from being damaged with frequent use.
Barfly Branding
Use of brushed silver and gold, along with black silicone, help the CITRI fit seamlessly into Barfly's brand language and design guidelines, inspired by commonly used material palettes in standard barware.
